Hi Ted,

here overseas, or shall I say outside of the US, where the choice of  
english news shows can be limited when the active language is other,  
and either CNN or BBC International are the only choices, I seem to  
detect matting quite a bit of the time, as I don't know why production  
would use a blue backlight on the hair :]    Anyway, there is never  
any doubt in my mind that the shots are fake, there's no way you could  
have the lighting on the subject the way it is and the background in  
focus, etc.

thanks for all the information, I'm sure it's accurate.  and this  
isn't the place (except for those blue rim lights! ) for me to have  
gone all OT on it.. but I think it's unfair to show images that are  
concoctions, when it's supposed to be "news."   it seems somehow  
absurd.. like when some of those generals "live from Baghdad" are  
smiling, too.
