[Tig] carbon on the valves

"Carbon on the valves."  Walter Matthau, playing a wealthy  
industrialist living in New York City, can't get his Ferrari out of  
first gear due to the NY traffic, and the carbon becomes a symbol of  
his impending financial ruin.   (the film is _A New Leaf_ from Elaine  
May, and is extraordinary.)

Carbon on the inuslators of the power transmission lines caused by  
smoke from the extraordinary fires in Santa Barbara is causing shorts  
that bring the TIG host up and down, so until the situation stabilizes  
the wiki may be unavailable, as database repair is necessary after  
each unintended power cycle.

I recommend highly the Matthau/May film.
