I transferred a student film once using this concept. One locked down 65mm
camera shooting a scene divided into quadrants. A UCLA Grad student shot a
re-enactment of the Lincoln assassination in Ford's theater. We had the
Box/upper left, the balcony/upper right, the stage lower left and the
audience lower right. Hence there was a lot of panning going on. With 35mm
we are accustom to making non-linier moves from point "A" to point "B". But
with 65mm once you arrive at "B" you then have to pivot and proceed to "C" &
"D" etc...so you're on a steep learning curve with the Dissolve profiles.

I wish I had tracking windows back then!

As for " don't bother to light the shot, it can all be done later with masks
and mattes" .....I have enough of this thinking in my life ....please don't
encourage it!!!!!! :)

Jim
