More than likely they expect that you will put your phone on a flat
surface and not hold it in your hand. It seems quite feasable to
provide a portable (and perhaps disposable) projection screen which is
the size of letter paper and unfolds to stand upright on a desk.
Note that this DLP technology is for cell phones in general and not
related to iPhone (to the best of my knowledge).
Since any TV technology which is not as "flat" as an LCD or plasma is
rapidly becoming unsaleable, the TI DLP folks are scrambling to
survive. It seems that form factor is more important to consumers
than image quality.
