My question would be "Why Videography?"

To me, that's always been a pretty low-end, consumery kind of  
magazine. If we're talking about color correction or even high-end  
post, then it seems like you'd want to look at Millimeter or Post or  
even Shoot or DV Magazine. I guess it depends on your subject matter,  
but I can't believe that Videography would have much on telecine or  
high end post.

If you're looking at references for a book on non-linear editing, Tom  
Ohanian wrote a great book in the middle of the early years. It has  
quite a timeline. Check out "Digital Non-Linear Editing" from Focal  
Press.

Ohanian would also be a great person to interview since he was at  
Avid practically from the beginning and knows most of the other  
players in the field. I think he also worked at Apple for a while.
