Hi Ken,
The Format/Blanking function of the 2K+ allows you to change the shade/color
of the matte but not the opacity. So yes, your method is the way I would do
it. Using a channel would be best. You can either save it to the baseMem
that way or inhibit the list for the channel and it will just stay there.
