The following measurements are of sequential contrast for CRTs and both
sequential and simultaneous contrast for all LCDs. All measurements
conducted one monitor at a time in dark viewing conditions where the
unit under test was the only light source in the room. A Photo Research
PR-705 was used. Full spectral data was captured for each device. The
following are the basic contrast and black level results. The "Gamut"
entry is for uncorrected gamut measurements. In the case of wide-gamut
displays a 3D LUT can bring them into 709 or P3 easily.

BVM-D24/BVM-D32:
Contrast ratio: 15,000 to 1
White: 30fL
Black: 0.002fL
Gamut: Close to 709

BVM-L230 (LCD) "Normal" Mode:
Contrast ratio: 500 to 1
White: 30fL
Black: 0.06fL
Gamut: Wider than 709

BVM-L230 (LCD) "Black frame insertion" Mode:
Contrast ratio: 250 to 1
White: 30fL
Black: 0.12fL
Gamut: Wider than 709

eCinema DPX24:
Contrast ratio: 15,000 to 1
White: 30fL
Black: 0.002fL
Gamut: Wider than 709

eCinema DCM:
Contrast ratio: 1,000 to 1
White: 30fL
Black: 0.03fL
Gamut: Wider than 709

eCinema FX and PRO:
Contrast ratio: 1,000 to 1
White: 30fL
Black: 0.03fL
Gamut: Inside 709

Other LCDs (JVC, Panasonic, Cinetal, etc.):
Contrast ratio: 800~1,000 to 1
White: 30fL
Black: 0.04fL to 0.03fL
Gamut: Inside 709

You can, of course, see all these monitors at NAB. eCinema will be
showing the DPX in a suite at the MGM Grand convention center
(www.ecinemasystems.com for details and an appointment).

Open disclsure: Sprockets represent Ecinema in europe and wont advertise
on the tig any more than anyone else :)
