[Tig] What can drive a Spirit Datacine HD SDC2000?

Hi Guys,

Currently I am working at a facility where they have a Spirit HD being 
controlled by a Baselight. For dailies they are now looking into a 
'alternative' way  for driving the Spirit.

What are the options, can they use an older DaVinci or Pogle or do you 
need a more recent one? Since the device is only telling the Spirit what 
to do I figured you don't need a very recent controller for it.. Is that 
true? Is an oldish DaVinci 888 for example compatible with it? The 
manuals are a bit vague about it, it says it has been tested with a 
Renaissance 8:8:8 version 4.3.2.

And then the second question, where to get such a controller, preferably 
region western europe. What are the market prices for such controllers 
nowadays?
