Hi Carl,

I am not sure of the exact favor of Spirit or which controller your using,
but I think we can give some general advice:

Yes I know Dave's Document is for a Cintel machine, but it will give you an
example of what you're going for.

 

Setup the Kodak TAF. White point at 85% and the black level can just kiss
the line.

Fuji also has a setup film, and of course you can use the clients film if
they shoot a MacBeth chart.

 

 

Then step though the preset masking settings and see what yields the best
fit. Which one does the best job of lining up the 6 vectors with their
targets. Depending on the type of  Spirit you can also create your own
Masking presets, and store them. (If you do, write the matrix numbers on a
piece of paper, as a backup)
