I am not a colorist so I am not an expert on grading. What
immediately struck me (even before the part of the film where they go
back in time) was that the appearance of the film was as if it was
shot on 50 year old film stock without the associated 50 years of
defects. There was a pleasant old-time warmth to the colors. The
appearance was definitely not like the HBO show "Girls".
