Scanning and Resolution II

Peter has sent the following image as an example of a real 4K scan of S35mm. I had to convert it from a bmp to a jpg and hope there are minimal artifacts from the conversion.

Here are Peter's comments:

"I have just sent Rob a real example, a small area from a S35mm 4K DPX file, hope Rob puts it up. The blow up shows pixel edges around the steps tiles. It is from this real world scan that I evolved what I hoped was a clearer explanation in my latest diagram. Obviously not. "
