da Vinci prides itself in a successful training program supporting customers, freelance artists and curious students alike. In addition to on-location support of new product installations, da Vinci also offers classes several times per year at both its Florida headquarters and its Singapore offices. Courses are focused by product and are directed toward several levels of competency, including classes specifically tailored for beginners. Product offerings include Resolve® Training, Beginning 2K® Training, and 2K Training for Experienced Colorists. 2K Training for Experienced Colorists includes instruction on da Vinci’s newest product, Splice™, the essential tool for crossing the bridge to nonlinear workflow while continuing to leverage the da Vinci 2K Plus™.

I regularly run freelance training courses both in London and LA (our last one was in LA 2 weeks ago) I also ran a course for some users in Australia in November last year.

I create these courses around our current demo material, and provide the material, full instruction manuals, and DVD's.

FilmLight offers a general 'Introductory Freelance Colourist course' at our offices in London. Details of this course - dates and background information can be found on our website - http://www.filmlight.ltd.uk/training.htm. This course will soon be available in other regions. For customers in the Asia Pacific region we currently run Baselight courses at our Sydney office and can also arrange on-site training. These courses follow a standard syllabus but are normally customised for individual requirements and tend to cover a complete workflow as well as the operational features of the equipment. In addition to training for colourists we can also provide technical training for those responsible for installing and maintaining FilmLight systems. All courses include manuals, course materials and access to PDFs and other resources on our website. Kevin Shaw provides on site training and seminars. Courses are tailored for each client and can include color and colorist theory as well as basic and advanced operational instruction on selected systems. Kevin is an experienced colorist and works all over the world. He has provided training for Kodak, Digital Vision, da Vinci and Thomson as well as facilities and colorists.

  • MATRIX System V2.4 Training programs

CHROME Imaging organizes training courses in its Swiss headquarters in Geneva.

This 2-3 days program is free and include:

- general overview MATRIX Systems

- per-topic training (Color grading, conforming, editing, restoration, media management)

- Possibility to work on your own media if wished

- User Manual and technical information.

Courses are given for a maximum of 2 attendees per session.

A technical training is also available for the system maintenance and hardware specifications.

On-site trainings are also possible, and according to your location courses might be located at a CHROME Imaging reseller's office.

  • Autodesk (Lustre)

Autodesk offers Lustre classroom training in Los Angeles, London and several offices in Asia. The classroom course follows an intensive 3 day "Lustre Overview" curriculum. We also offer in-depth onsite training that can be tailored to individual needs. All courses come with manuals, user guides, pre-built sample projects and media to get you started.
