Profile

I began my career as an assistant editor/colorist at JSL Video on 45th St. focusing entirely commercials. In 1988 I sought to get some “film under my belt” and joined duArt labs as a colorist. For the next 9 years I worked on long format projects, docs for PBS, features for Sony Classics, archival films and the occasional spot thrown in. At duArt, I worked with Bud Greenspan on his film “Lillehammer '94: 16 Days of Glory” which won the 1995 International Monitor Award for Best Color Correction in a Documentary. In 1997 I resigned duArt to launch a freelance career and traveled the world providing on-site Colorist training courses for daVinci Systems and consulted or provided product demonstrations for Aaton, Avid, Cintel, Digital Vision and daVinci. In 2004 I moved to Europe and entered the world of DI, joining Synchro Film and Video, in Vienna, Austria. I served as head of DI operations using the Nucoda film master to conform, color correct, dust bust, tweak LUTs, composite titles, you name it I did it. Today, I’m home in New York City working with Spirit 2K and a daVinci 2K Plus at Postworks New York.----
